I wrote a review back in March expressing the horrible, traumatic experience my three children and I had staying at this joke of a motel. I mentioned a man POUNDING and SCREAMING at the door next to ours in the very early morning for quite a while and the front desk did nothing when I called twice to complain. It SCARED my children, especially my 7 year old daughter. My children and I recently went on vacation and the first night in the hotel my daughter had a panic attack. She was screaming that she didn't want anything to happen, she didn't want someone to pound on the door. Over a year later from our night stay at ABVI, my daughter now has ptsd from it. I have contacted a lawyer. I will be sueing the motel for emotional damages it caused my daughter.

I waited to check in behind a guy leaving because the AC didn't work in 2 rooms he tried. My first room had black mold where the caulk should have been around the tub/shower, & the couch was so disgustingly stained I wouldn't have sat on it, plus 2 lights including the 1 over the desk didn't work. There was a strong smell of cigarette smoke in my 2nd "nonsmoking" room, but I thought that was because a person with a lit cigarette passed me just as I opened the door. Otherwise that room was ok, & since it was around midnight I just went to bed. Not until I got home after 2 nights there did I realize that the shirt I never wore but had on a hanger in the room smelled of cigarette smoke, as did the hose for my CPAP machine which never touched anything except the bed when I took it out of its case. Check-in late is with a live person through a kiosk, and it was very hard to understand what he said. They do have live people at the desk during the day, and they were friendly and helpful. I suspect if I'd asked for a different room, I would have gotten one but there would have been "issues" with it too. All I wanted was a place to sleep and shower, and if it weren't for the smoke that would have been ok. However, I was disgusted that they have a sign posted in the room threatening a fine of $100 for smoking in the room which reeked of smoke. No, I do not intend to ever stay in one of these places again.

I wish zero stars was an option! Traveling from Massachusetts , myself and my three young children needed a place to stay for 2 nights while passing through. Being right off the highway was very convenient. The surrounding hotels were booked for the nights we needed. The room we were given was directly across from a trash can that was overflowing with trash and smelt. Our room had aleast 20 flies and mold on the ceiling of the shower the size of a basketball and on the rubber lining of the refrigerator. The carpet clearly had not been vacuumed, and no remote for the TV. My children begged me not to stay there. I went to the FD to check out and request a full refund. Because I booked through and 3rd party I had to go through them. I was offered another room. Being so late I took the other room. It was better in the sense that it didn't have mold. Again the carpet was not vacuumed, there was a TV remote but had no batteries, there was beard hair( I pray it was just beard hair) on the handles for the sink. At about 3:30 in the morning my children and I were abruptly woken up to a man POUNDING on the door next to us. It was so loud that we thought someone was at our door. My children were scared. The man kept pounding on the door and yelling for several minutes. I called the FD twice for them to do something. I was told, Sorry for the inconvenience!!!!!! I stayed awake to insure my children they were safe, when in fact I had no idea if we were. Thankfully they fell asleep an hour later. We checked out as soon as they got up and canceled the second night. The board of health needs to shut them down. After reading the reviews( which I should have done first) whomever is responding to the reviews has done nothing about the complaints. Someone else mentioned no batteries in the TV remote. Many people have mentioned the cleanliness. Nothing has changed. Mold in the rooms? If you can't be bothered or afford to keep up with maintenance and health hazards then you need to close down. We stayed at a MUCH BETTER hotel the second night and my children started freaking out when i said it was time for bed. They said they didnt want anything to happen. Our experience at that hell hole has severally affected them.DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!!!

Do not stay at this location. I found a cockroach in the room and the garbage under the beds were unbelievable!!! These people that own it are despicable. I booked 2 nights and only stayed one and they will NOT refund my second night.

May 28th 2022. I wish there was less than zero. As I entered the lobby I had to speak with a machine to do my check in. I received my information and room key from the machine. There was a young man behind a screen but he directs you to the machine and he did not look like he was for the customer. I looked at the rooms as the door opened and it was just disgusting. It smelled like rotting bodies and the carpet had several stains on it. The handle of the chairs was black and the chair was yellow like. Could not tell the correct color. The bath had black mold growing on the tub. I asked to change because I wanted to give house keeping the benefit of the doubt. Behold I looked at both rooms and none was better. I returned the keys the same time it was given it to me. The hotel is disgusting with all the roaches running around and people hanging around outside their door and you can see the inside was a mess. I know that the owners already know this. But they should not treat people like that. Thank God there is a Marriott next door. I believe this hotel is a homeless shelter, however the owners still should not treat people this way even if they are down on their luck. It made me cry. I will be requesting my money back.
